Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom has arrived in Omdurman, Sudan with his wife Omega, ahead of a possible move to domestic league champions Al Hilal.

Inkoom has been without a club for a couple of months after he was released by Bulgarian side Vereya last season.

The 28-year-old right back, who was tipped for success at the highest level by many pundits, saw his career take a nosedive after the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

He has since played in six different countries including France, Portugal, United States and Russia, struggling to seal a permanent deal.

"Inkoom and Omega have been around for a couple of days and he is likely to sign for Al Hilal. He even watched one of their games," a source told Goal.

"Some of the supporters have heard the rumours too and they think he will be a great addition since he has gained a lot of experience in Europe and on the international stage with Ghana.

"The only challenge will be that he will have to excel in the Caf Champions League because that is the only reason he will be welcomed since Hilal want to win the cup next season.

"For the local league, they even won it and were in the final of the Sudan Cup too so the attention is not on local trophies," the source added.

If negotiations go through, Inkoom would become the second Ghanaian at the club after Augustine Okrah.
