Sangy Foundation renovates Primary school in Kumasi

The Sangy Foundation an NGO that pursues quality health and education for young people in Ghana has under the Glam School Initiative painted 11 dilapidated blocks of Classroom at the Kotei RC Primary School in Kumasi.

The project which was the NGOs' first outreach to the Ashanti Region was undertaken and diligently accomplished by Sangy's Glam Squad and some volunteers from Global Shapers Kumasi Hub within 48 hours.

The project received lots of appraisal from both teachers and students.

The Glam School Initiative is an initiative under The Sangy Foundation which is aimed at renovating schools across the country and has so far renovated and painted 12 other schools and 3 learning centers across Ghana with lots of endorsement and admiration from the Ghanaian populace.

In interactions with students, they expressed their excitement and appreciation to the team as most of them noted the new environment will provide them great learning experience and overwhelmingly adjudged their compound the most beautiful in the community.

According to the Vice president- Sara Nana Yeboah, the foundation will not rest until every dilapidated school is renovated since the classroom lies at the heart of the formal curriculum in schools.

She stated that it is the key space where collaborative and independent learning takes place and so it should be as neat and beautiful as possible.
