Savannah Regional Minister launches disinfection and disinfestation Of Ghana Police installations

The Minister of the Savannah Region Hon. Salifu Adam Braimah has launched an initiative to disinfect and disinfest selected institutions which is being facilitated by zoomlion GH at the Savannah Regional police headquarters in Damongo today 22nd May, 2020.

This is in pursuance of governments agenda to manage and curb the spread of the global pandemic COVID-19.

The minister in his remarks indicated that he would on behalf of government at his level ensure that all workable principles and ideas will be employed to maintain the regions recorded cases of the COVID 19 at zero.

“This exercise being executed by zoomlion GH clearly indicates that the president is committed to ensuring that Coronavirus becomes a thing of the past, finally I want to humbly appeal with the Muslim ummah in the region to please make sure not to observe Eid prayers in congregation”; the minister added.

Hon Salifu said the President’s directive on the precautionary measures should duly be followed.

Mr. Dawuni Peter the General manager of Zoomlion GH in the Northern Region in a short statement indicated that, the need to include Ghana police service installations in the exercise is obviously due to how exposed their facilities are to the general public. The exercise according to him will extend to other police stations within the region.

On behalf of the Regional police commander, the Regional crime officer Supt. Cletus Abadan Lora expressed his profound gratitude to government and zoomlion GH for such an initiative. In their own small way according to him, they have ensured that the basic protocols are strictly observed.

The Regional minister was accompanied to the Savannah Region Police Command by the Municipal Chief executive Hon. Muhazu Saed.
