School proprietor appeals to Ministry of Education for support

Mr Abednego Aduffo Asani, Proprietor of Royal Stars International School at Amoakrom-Nsawam has appealed to the Ministry of Education to support private schools with teaching and learning materials.

He called for assistance in the recruitment of teachers into the private schools to augment government’s efforts in providing effective and equality education.

Mr Asani made the appeal at the graduation ceremony of the school at Amoakrom-Nsawam in the Akuapem South Municipality in the Eastern Region.

He said major challenges facing the school are payment of school fees and the supply of textbooks, exercise books and other learning materials by parents.

He said the Royal Stars International School was started with three classrooms but now have 29 classrooms with students standing at 1,000 with additional crèche, nursery, and kindergarten departments.

The school was among the top five in the Akuapem South Municipality scoring 100 per cent in 2012 and 2013 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

The school with the motto: In God We Trust with the slogan Adehyemma boast of experienced, committed and dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff while instilling in pupils high moral standards and discipline.

Apostle Emmanuel Mankatah Addo Kojo, Chairman of the occasion advised the pupils to learn hard to become successful.

He called on the parents to provide all the necessary educational needs of their wards while paying their fees promptly to enable the school authorities to deliver.
