School with 0% BECE pass to be empowered

As Adam Cooper and Bill Collage said, you don’t need a fancy highbrow traditions or money to really learn. You just need people with the desire to better themselves.

It is against this background that World Partners for Development, an international NGO is implementing a better desire for better education empowering program for students attending the Anyinam Kotoku Local Authority Methodist Junior High School, whose Basic Education Certification Examination (BECE) results has been 0% for the past 8 years. The program include a partnership between the school, the authorities, and the community to promote the importance of Basic Education and Community Development which is a strong stepping stone to provide opportunities that are meaningful with real impact on the personal and future development of school children.

• As part of the program, the community will be empowered through training and education to be more involved in the school programs and activities. • Students will be assisted in after school programs, including reading, games and sports to engage them in meaningful activities.

• Provision of solar lanterns for group night studies and prep.

• Students will be participating in our global education video conference program to be exposed to the international world.

• Counseling and guidance in school subjects.

• Examination coaching and preparation from professional educational volunteers and teachers.

As education has the power to compact poverty, we should all have the desire to empower the underserved community schools for a better future. To partner in our programs, please visit us at www.wpdprojects.org.
