Former Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye Lithur has lost in her bid to represent the people on at Adentan constituency in the Greater Accra Region on the ticket of opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

She was beaten to pulp by brother of second lady, Mr Adamu Ramadan after polling 558 votes as against the winner and Samira Bawumia’s brother who polled 730 votes.

Recently, the former minister was trolled for her pose at this year’s ‘Eid-ul-Adha’ celebration hitting social media.

Social media roasted the gender activist over what they described as a fake pose under the guise of prayer when she joined Muslims at Adenten in commemoration of the day.

Nana Oye Lithur who anticipating to elected as a parliamentary candidate for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) at the Adentan Constituency, did not only incurred the wrath of Muslims over what they termed as a hypocritical, she was accused of making mockery of celebrants who gathered to pray.
