Gospel musician Diana Asamoah attended the funeral of the late former Minister of Finance, John Kumah, held on Saturday, May 18, 2024.
Diana, clad in an all-black outfit, took over to deliver one of her hit songs titled “Mo mmo no ose” to encourage the bereaved family.
While singing, the attendees were singing along, with some of them appearing sorrowful and continuing to mourn during the funeral event.
Kumah, who was also the MP for Ejisu, passed away on March 7, 2024. His burial and final funeral rites were held in his hometown, Onwe, in the Ejisu constituency.
Scores of people were in Onwe for the funeral, and, as expected, NPP members served as the chief mourners alongside the family.
The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, was visibly grief-stricken when he arrived and filed past the body of the late Deputy Minister of Finance, with whom he had a very good relationship.
The Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, was part of the delegation, as were the National Chairman of the NPP, Stephen Ayesu Ntim, and General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong.
A number of Ministers of State, NPP MPs, and NPP party executives were also part of the delegation.
Actor Agya Koo, who is a known affiliate of the NPP, was also present at the event.
