‘Seeking God correlates with seeking good health’

The Reverend Tefe Ganyo, a Priest of the Global Evangelical Church, has noted that seeking God is correlated with seeking good health as both exercises are crucial life sustaining pursuits.

He made the observation on Saturday just before scores of church members from various branches in the Ho Presbytery commenced an endurance walk, dubbed health walk.

He told the Ghana News Agency that seeking God is a quest for goodness, just as pursuing life sustaining habits, including physical fitness, quoting the saying “a sound mind in a sound body” to underline his point.

The walk started from the vicinity of Public Works Department to Civics Centre, through the Central Market area to Barrack Junction back and ended at the stadium.

At the stadium, participants led by physical instructors from the Ghana Police Service, undertook different types of exercises before dispersing.

A total of 25 of the walkers later converged at the Volta Regional Hospital Blood Bank to donate blood.

Rev Ganyo, who chaired the Health Walk Planning Committee, expressed concern about the frustrations people in need of blood go through due to perennial shortage.

He said the church would consider popular demands that the Health Walk is made a monthly event.
