Sensels School holds graduation

Accra, Aug. 2, GNA - Mr Kojo Tay, Director of Sensels School at Taifa-Burkina in Accra , has called on parents to take active interest in the education of their children to enable them to grow to become useful citizens. He said education played a very important role in the socio-economic development of every nation and that without education, no country could develop. Mr Tay made the call at the graduation of 25 pupils of the school in Accra on Saturday. He said the situation where some parents neglected their children, leaving them in the care of their teachers alone, does not augur well for both parties.

Mr Tay, therefore, called for parent-teacher relationship, which he said was the best way of educating the child. He advised second cycle and tertiary students to desist from practice such as occultism in schools, which he said was eating deep into the Ghanaian society. Mrs Margaret Gademor, Headmistress of the school, appealed to the graduating students to take their lessons seriously to enable them to aspire to higher levels in life.
