Honourable Member of Parliament for Shai Osudoku in the Greater Accra Region, Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo has cut sod for the construction of four projects in her constituency.
The projects; a four-seater toilet facility for Dodowa Zongo, an eight seater toilet facility for Dodowa Djagbletey, a three unit classroom block for Abuvie Kpong D/A Primary School and a computer lab at Dodowa Ayenya, which will be constructed by the Member Of Parliament in collaboration with the Ministry Of Special Initiative, are based on requests by the aforementioned communities for the provision of the various social amenities.
The toilet facilities due for completion in a couple of months are expected to improve the dire sanitation needs of the communities.
The computer lab, on the other hand, according to the MP is expected to be stocked with up to two hundred computers for use by the various Senior High Schools in the constituency. Additionally, Hon Ocloo intimated that she will provide a bus to be used to transport students of the various schools to access the lab.
The MP who has already commissioned a number of projects in the constituency including three toilet projects for various communities also donated three tricycles to three wards on the day.
The MP earlier donated a over twenty tricycles to all wards in her constituency as parts of efforts to help them raise revenue to fund party activities.
Meanwhile, member of the Zongo Muslim Chiefs of the Greater Accra Region, Chief Ali Iddris Mijeenyawa while expressing his appreciation to the MP for the gesture appealed for the provision of pipe borne water and electricity poles for the Zongo community.
