Following his impulsive outburst and attack on his colleague Sammy Gyamfi of the opposition National Democratic Congress, National Youth Organiser of governing NPP, Henry Nana Boakye has cautioned the former to duly honor the highest office of the land.
While apologizing for his conduct on Accra-based Asempa FM’s ‘Ekosiisen’ Friday evening, Nana B, in a statement, charged his ‘junior brother’ Sammy Gyamfi to be “decorous and respectful in his public utterances during such engagements and to, at all times, respect the high office of the President.”
A video capturing the incident in the studio of Asempa FM which has since gone viral shows the NPP National Youth Organiser reaching for the head of Sammy Gyamfi with a slap in reaction to something the NDC National Communication Officer uttered on the show.
Few hours after the video had gone viral, the NDC’s youth wing held an emergency press conference at the party’s headquarters giving the Police a 24-hour ultimatum to arrest their member’s attacker.
Speaking at the press conference, National Youth Organiser of the NDC, George Opare Addo, noted: “We demand the immediate arrest of the violent thug, Henry Nana Boakye within 24 hours. If by Monday, the arrest has not been effected, we will consider this an abdication of the responsibility of the police administration.
"We will have no other option than to mobilise our members to demand justice for our comrade”, he added.

February 2, 2019 PRESS RELEASE APOLOGY TO ASEMPA FM LISTENERS AND GHANAIANS I refer to the events which took place yesterday on Asempa FM's Political Talk Show, 'Ekosisen'.
Regardless of the repulsive, provocative conduct by the NDC's National Communications Director on the show which included unacceptable verbal attacks on the President and myself, I am, upon sober reflection, apologising to listeners of Asempa FM and Ghanaians for the manner in which I responded.
I wish to assure all that, I remain committed to decent, issue-based discourse on our airwaves and that this unfortunate incident will not be repeated.
I will also encourage my junior brother, Sammy Gyamfi, to be decorous and respectful in his public utterances during such engagements and to, at all times, respect the high office of the President.
Thank you.
Signed
Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B)
National Youth Organizer, New Patriotic Party
