Show us your farm - Benyiwa-Doe to JAK

A leading member of the Committee for Joint Action, Madam Ama Benyiwa-Doe, has challenged the Head of State Mr John Agyekum Kufuor to show the world his own farm in the face of his admonition to others to go and farm.

In an interview, on Monday, in reaction to a call by Mr John Agyekum Kufuor to the members of the Committee for Joint Action to find something useful to do with themselves by going to farm, Madam Benyiwa-Doe, who is also a former Deputy Minister and Member of Parliament said she has had her own farms for years, and similarly challenged President Kufuor to show his own.

Madam Benyiwa-Doe was reacting to comments made by the Head of State, Mr John Agyekum Kufuor at separate durbars at Eguafo and Abakrampa in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese District in the Central Region, in reference to the members of the Committee of Join action, who have been organizing the Wahala demonstrations across the country, Mr John Agyekum Kufuor said, "If I were them, I will come here to farm, and get money in my pocket, instead of using their energy on Wahala."

The remark, which obviously did not sit down well with Madam Benyiwa Doe, led her to sharply retort to the Head of State to show the people his own farm or farms, since she was the rather proud owner cocoa, palm cassava and plantain farms.
