Sierra Leone President, His Excellency Julius Maada Bio, would arrive in the country this morning for a two-day official visit.
The purpose of the visit is to strengthen and deepen the existing ties of friendship and co-operation between Ghana and Sierra Leone.
The visit is also intended to explore other areas of co-operation between the two countries which would inure to the benefit of both countries.
A statement released from the presidency over the weekend said “President Maada Bio will call on President Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House on his arrival, where the two leaders will hold bilateral talks.”
Aside from that, “President Akufo-Addo will also host his Sierra Leonean counterpart to an official lunch, also at the Jubilee House.”
The Sierra Leonean President, whilst in Ghana, is expected to meet his countrymen (Sierra Leoneans) resident in Ghana, and also undertake a number of visits to some institutions in the country.
He will leave Ghana for Freetown, the capital of Sierra Leone, on Tuesday, 23rd October, 2018.
