The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Sissala West constituency has elected its executives at a conference in Gwollu on Saturday with most of the positions going unopposed.
The Youth Organizer, Secretary, Organizer, Deputy Organizer and Women Organizer were contested but the rest of the positions including the constituency Chairman position went unopposed.
Abdul-Rahman Osman polled 53 votes as against 10 votes polled by his opponent to emerge the new Constituency Youth Organizer.
Guguo Ali Adams polled 154 votes to become the Secretary to beat Djadi Seidu Sinto who polled 115 votes.
Abdul Majeed Giro won the position of the Organizer by polling 158 votes as against 112 votes polled by his opponent, Sulley Adamu.
The Deputy Organizer position went to Abass Ali Baata who polled 158 votes to beat Niarabira Sulley who had 112 votes.
Alidu Alijata the incumbent Women Organizer polled 48 votes to maintain her position as against 14 votes polled by Donkere Faustina.
Alhaji Amidu Sulemani, the Sissala West Member of Parliament, commended the delegates for conducting the election peacefully.
He said the government was focused on delivering on its promises despite the challenges.
Mr. Moses Dramani Luri, the Sissala West District Chief Executive, said more than 40 communities had been hooked to the national grid and all schools in the district were enrolled on the Ghana School Feeding Programme.
He said many of the school under trees had been eliminated and gave the assurance that the few left would be eliminated as soon as possible.
