The National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) says six people have been confirmed dead following about a 3-hour-long downpour Sunday evening.

According to NADMO, four of the bodies were retrieved at Adjei Kojo in Ashaiman, and another one at Odorna.

Two persons are still missing, the Communications Director at the disaster management organization, George Ayisi told TV3 at midday on Monday.

The Ghana Meteorological Agency had issued an alert to warn residents of a rainstorm at the southern portions of Togo that it forecasted would affect places in the southern half of the country.

The rainstorm, according to the Agency, also affected areas such as Kpetoe, Akatsi, Ho, Kpando and its environs in the Volta Region.

A similar incident last week left five people dead in Accra.
