Sixty-two students of St. Peters Seminary passed-out

Cape Coast, June 29, GNA- Father Matthew Edusei, Rector of Pedu St. Peters Seminary in Cape Coast on Tuesday appealed to Catholic priests to emulate the Catholic priesthood who show selflessness, sacrifice, dedication, and hard-work in their deliberations.

Father Edusei was speaking at the passing-out of the 62 final year students of Pedu Seminary under the auspices of the Knight and Ladies of Marshal of the Catholic Church at Pedu, a suburb of Cape Coast. He said, "It is a precious patrimony that must not be sacrificed by the modern craze for our convenient and frivolousness," adding that it is authentic, based on the gospel of the Lord who came among us as poor, chaste and obedient and gave his life to sacrificial work.

He said the Seminary is in need of funds to do its work effectively and appealed to members of the congregation to support the Seminary. Mr. Edusei said out of 34 candidates presented for BA degrees at Legon, two candidates had first class, 18 had second class while 14 had third class.

Reverend George Obeng Appah, the SRC President who secured first class and adjudged the overall best student urged his colleagues to be consistent and win the confidence of the people.
