Sky Sports called out for Jeffrey Schlupp-Yannick Bolasie gaffe

Sky Sports have been called out for confusing Crystal Palace and Ghana wideman Jeffrey Schlupp with his predecessor in South London, Yannick Bolasie.

The latter left Selhurst Park during the summer when he signed for Everton in a £25 million deal, but despite suffering a high-profile knee injury in December, it looks like someone at Sky missed the attacker’s exit.

As spotted by this astute Twitter user, Bolasie appeared to make an unexpected return to South London on Monday evening, when he lined up at left-back alongside Martin Kelly and Mamadou Sakho.

At least, that’s what Sky appeared to suggest when they presented Palace’s team line-up before their 3-0 victory over Arsenal.

Either that, or someone just couldn’t find a photo of Schlupp and decided that no one would notice Bolasie being substituted in!

The Black Star moved to join Sam Allardyce’s Eagles in January in £9 million, becoming one of the first of Leicester City’s title-winning miracle men to leave the club.

The Ghanaians penned a four-and-a-half year deal at Selhurst Park after opting for the Londoners despite reported interest from Midlands duo Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion.
