Somotex honours vulnerable mothers at the Accra Psychiatric hospital on mother's day

Access to love, care, understanding and peace has proven to be challenging for families and patients that have lost their loved ones to mental health.

Owning to their comprehensive approach to work and commitment to enhancing lives of Ghanaians and people within the communities in which they operate, Somotex Ghana Limited on May 12, 2019 shared KFC meals and dined with the vulnerable mothers and female patients of the Accra Psychiatric Hospital to mark Mother’s Day.

“Our aim is geared towards providing the necessary support and to assist Accra Psychiatric Hospital become the leading psychiatric institution in Ghana and West Africa through best practice in psychiatric care, dedicated workforce and friendly environment for clients”, said Mr Nii Ayi Hyde, the Managing Director of Somotex Ghana Limited.

Speaking in the same vein, the Marketing Manager of Somotex, Mr Frank Mickson-Yeboah said: “We have constantly evolved to attain distinction since our inception in 1986 with continuous innovation across the Commercial Air-conditioning sector and consumer electronics. “Our strategic intent for the past 3 decades has employed a ‘first move’ advantage strategy by positioning Somotex as a leader in the assembling and distribution of Consumer Electronics in Ghana.

Our humanitarian and environmental concerns has seen Somotex Ghana Limited in partnership with its affiliate, Mohinani Group, launch a Recycling and Waste Management Campaign & Competition across Ghana to educate and sensitize citizens and the younger generation on proper waste management and disposal to promote a safe and healthy environment for all. The Competition has seen the group in partnership with Environment 360 educate over 30,000 students across 70 schools on recycling and waste management.
