Soul Food Ministries trains 850 youth in ICT

The Soul Food Ministries International (SFMI) has trained 850 youth in Information Communication Technology (ICT) under its “Free for all ICT training initiative”.

Pastor Eddie Letsa, General Overseer of SFMI, said the training was to provide free ICT education for the youth as a means of rendering them employable skills in information technology.

He said the number adds up to three thousand and fifty youth trained since the inception of the programme.

Pastor Letsa told the GNA in Accra on Saturday that, management of the church has introduced four new programmes to the existing ones.

He expressed the hope that with the introduction of these programmes, the youth would become morally upright to curb the negative social vices in the society and the nation at large

“SFMI provides training as a way of empowering and providing skills to support people's lives,” he added.

He said the training was not being conducted for only members of the church but also the general public could take advantage to impact on their lives.

The training programme which started in 2009 has seen students graduating in courses including Computer Hardware, Computer Networking, and Cisco Certified Network Administration among others.**
