Southern Ghana will be misty or foggy

Accra, August 5, GNA - The Ghana Meteorological Agency on Saturday said there would be widespread misty or foggy atmosphere over Southern Ghana, especially the forest and hilly areas in the morning, becoming cloudy with brief sunny periods. There would be slight windy periods with chances of drizzle or occasional slight rain over most coastal stations especially the eastern half.

There will be thunderstorms, which will affect the lake areas of the Volta Region, the high grounds and sheltered areas of the middle belt and even northern stations. As a result, low temperatures would be experienced during the night the entire country. It gave predicted maximum and minimum temperatures as follows: 28 degrees Celsius and 23 Degrees Celsius in the coastal areas; 28 degrees Celsius and 21 Degrees Celsius in the forest and mountainous areas, and 30 degrees Celsius and 22 Degrees Celsius in the Northern Sector.
