Agroyesum (Ash), Jan. 3, GNA - ANESVAD, a Spanish Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), has constructed a 930,000-dollar theatre complex for the Saint Martin's Catholic Hospital at Agroyesum in the Amansie West District of Ashanti.
The building complex cost 800,000 dollars while the theatre equipment also cost 130,000 dollars.
This was made known to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Agroyesum by Dr Samuel Nyarko Etuaful, Medical Superintendent of the hospital during an inspection of the project at the weekend.
He said the theatre complex would not only be used for normal surgical operations but would also be used as a training centre for doctors and nurses.
Dr Etuaful said the hospital was the only referral one in the district that catered for over 169 communities with a population of about 120,000.
