Alfred Adu Boakye, the Youth Pastor at the Assemblies of God Cedar Mountain Chapel in East Legon, Accra, has encouraged people to share and embody the love of Christ by demonstrating kindness.

He sees acts of kindness as a way to reflect and spread Christian values.

His comment came after a donation exercise carried out by the Youth Ministry of the church as part of its Youth Week celebrations.

Following this remark, Pastor Adu Boakye on Sunday delivered a sermon titled ‘The RED Principles of Soul-Winning,’ with RED being an acronym for ‘Reasoning out of the scripture,’ ‘Explaining the message and the person of Christ through the lens of scripture and personal experience,’ and ‘Demonstrating the message of the cross through the power and gifts of the Spirit.’

The Youth Ministry of the church made a special donation to Kekele Polyclinic in Madina. Before the donation, the hospital had only nine functioning beds. The ministry donated ultra-modern hospital beds to the polyclinic, which were gladly received by the management, who expressed their appreciation to the church and the ministry.

Meanwhile, media personality Nanahemaa Nana Adwoa Awindor who spoke to the youth on Thursday highlighted the importance of women's empowerment to help young ladies deal with the obstacles they may face in society.

She stressed the importance of self-reliance and urged young people to continuously upscale themselves to remain resilient in the face of adversity.

“One of the things that people abuse girls with is money. That is why we have to keep empowering our girls. You need to find a reason to upscale yourself. Empowerment is optimal and important because people tend to succumb to anything when they are vulnerable. And that is why we must empower you every step of the way,” she said.

Nana Adwoa Awindor emphasised the need for virtues like honesty, integrity, and faith, noting that these qualities are essential for the youth to progress in life.
