Stand up for the truth-Rev Dr Asore

Tema, March 8, GNA - The Rev Dr Simon Asore, a former General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Church, has advised Ministers of the Gospel to always stand by the truth. He said when pastors remained steadfast the good Lord who had chosen them would give them the moral and spiritual strength and courage to withstand temptations.

Rev Dr Asore said this when he inaugurated and inducted into office the executive officers of the Tema Ministers Organisation (TMO). The seven-member executive has Rev David Nabegmado, Senior Pastor of the Community Four Central Assemblies of God Church as its President, with Rev Abraham Lord-Mensah, Senior Pastor of the Inner Court Family Chapel at Community Three as his Vice.

The other executive members are Rev Michael Asenso, Senior Pastor of the Way Chapel International at Community Six, General Secretary, Rev Seth Adjei-Mensah, Senior Pastor of the Supernatural Life Gospel Church at Community 11, Financial Secretary, Rev Timothy Arthur-Baidoo, Head Pastor of the Holy Fire International Church at Community Four, Treasurer. Bishop Richard Ahiagbedey, Head of Adonai International Ministries at Community 12 and Rev Alfred Akumbie, Senior Pastor of Love Assemblies of God Church at Community 18 are Executive Officers/Trustees.

Dr Asore appealed to them to always make themselves approachable, have respect for others, and endeavour to live above reproach. Outlining the aims and objectives of the Organisation, Rev Nabegmado said TMO aimed at uniting ministers of the gospel, to pool ideas and resources for the socio-economic growth of the Metropolis. He said the Church had made significant strides to the advancement of the country and was optimistic that the TMO would further build upon Ghana's development and ensure its continued peace and stability. Nii Adjei Kraku 11, Tema Mantse, appealed to TMO to live up to its aims and objectives, in order to help uplift the image of the Metropolis.
