A religious organization, Watchers of the City is advising the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to accept the December 7 election results and withdraw the case from the Supreme Court or face the wrath of God.
The group says the NPP’s decision to contest the results in court is a betrayal of its belief in the Lord fighting its battle.
In an interview with Gold News the National Co-ordinator for the group, Rev. Carlvin Samuel Agbotse contends that since the NPP said the battle is the Lord’s, prior to the elections, it is obligatory for them to accept the results as the doing of the Lord.
He questions the NPP’s belief in God by asking: “Is Akufo-Addo and the NPP telling us that they have the capacity to fight the Lord?”
Rev. Carlvin Samuel Agbotse also indicates that President John Dramani Mahama has been given to the country by God hence any attempt to rubbish his election and inauguration will not wash.
“What will happen is that the one who ordained him will fight you and you might not even live to fight the outcome of your battle. When you want to lift yourself above God and arrogantly arrogate yourself with certain powers you don’t have, God will deal with you” he adds.
National Co-ordinator for the Watchers of the City, Rev. Carlvin Samuel Agbotse, predicted that the NPP will lose the court case because it lacks merit.
