Stop Pushing Me out of NDC - Gizo

The MP for Shai Osudoku, Mike Afedi Gizo has made a passionate appeal to his colleague NDC members and the party hierarchy not to push him out of the party by their pronouncements. ''People should stop pushing me out of the party by making complimentary remarks about me and what I?m supposed to be doing or have done''.

Mr Gizo who has come under pressure from some members of the NDC leadership following his appointment to serve on the National Petroleum Tender Board (NPTB) poured out his frustration to the ''Evening News'' in Accra.

He said although he had been trying so hard to accommodate the taunts of some members of his party after supporting Dr Kwesi Botchwey in his bid for the NDC flagbearership, the harassment was becoming unbearable.

Mr Gizo said he saw nothing wrong with his appointment to serve on the NPTB because it was part of the role of members of Parliament.

''I do not see why it should be okay for us in the Minority to cooperate with the government in the House, particularly at the committee level, but refuse to do so when it comes to other equally important national assignments outside the House,'' he said.

Mr Gizo was tipped as the next in line to resign as NDC MP, but he has denied the allegation.
