Loyalty to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) must be the only factor any government Minister or Chief Executive Officer in office under Akufo-Addo should consider when filling vacancies or recruiting.

This suggestion is coming from Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, NPP MP for Assin Central who wants the ruling party to equalize what the opposition NDC did in power. He warned government appointees to see how they can help footsoldiers fit into the system instead of asking about “qualification”.

In an interview MyNewsGH.com monitored on Net2 TV, the Assin philanthropist said during the tough 2016 campaigns, NPP did not ask for the ‘qualifications’ of the young people who sacrificed for the party. He wondered why it matters now when victory has come.

“Did we ask them to bring their ‘qualifications’ before they were deployed into rural communities to work to win the election? Please!” he added.

He applauded the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government for interventions like NaBCo that is “supporting graduates to survive” but added that there are many people who do not have certificates but who worked for NPP and are being left out.
