A leading member of the New Patriotic Party, Stephen Asamoah Boateng, has warned members of his party to shun attacks on the governing NDC administration.
The former Information Minister under the erstwhile Kufuor administration in an interview with XYZ News said the leadership of the NPP should stop its constant attacks on government and focus on making the NPP party attractive ahead of the 2016 elections.
Mr. Asamoah Boateng urged the NPP leadership to accord the ruling NDC some space to enable it focus on development plans for the nation.
According to him, the NPP cannot build its fortunes on the failure of the NDC government.
“We must give the government some space, whether we like it or not the elections have been settled and the NDC, our cousins are in government and we must give them space because if we were in government we would request space to implement our programs,” Mr. Asamoah Boateng popularly known as Asabee said.
He added: “If you are just chasing and harassing a government that it is not good for the nation…I do not think that if the NDC fails it is to our advantage…if the NDC fails it is to the disadvantage of all Ghanaians.
“If the NPP comes after their failure we might struggle to pick it up and help Ghanaians,” he advised.
