Private legal practitioner Oliver Barker-Vormawor has asked the Ghana Police Service to stop hunting for him and tell him when and where he should show up and that he will be there.

The lawyer was responding to a statement issued by the police that it was on a manhunt for him for allegedly engaging in acts of lawlessness during the Democracy Hub demonstration.

In an official statement, the police disclosed that they are on a manhunt for Oliver Barker-Vormawor, one of the leaders of the protest, along with others involved in acts of lawlessness.

The demonstrators were accused of blocking roads, dismantling police barriers, and causing significant disruptions to traffic in the area.

The lawyer was seen in a viral video taking a key from a police vehicle and throwing it away before fleeing the scene.

He was also seen in another video toppling police barricades without provocation, a situation that the police say escalated tensions between the protesters and law enforcement.

However, responding in a Facebook post, the activist said he was prepared to meet the police with his lawyer.

He has also asked the police about the eight-year-old minor it has in its custody since the parents were worried. He further asked the service to show them the whereabouts of 15 others who were arrested.
