PPP Parliamentary candidate for Efutu constituency, Nana Ofori Owusu says President John Dramani Mahama should stop his 'Accounting to the People' tour.

According to him, President John Mahama has a backlog of work to do for Ghanaians and the economy.

Nana Ofori Atta rubbished the tour of the President saying it is the responsibility of the municipal and district appointees to do what the President has been doing across the nation.

He noted on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' on Tuesday that the President's tour does not help to solve the economic crises confronting Ghanaians.

He admonished President Mahama to also stop his travels and sit in his office managing the affairs of the country.

“Stop the lavish campaign that you’re using our tax payer’s money to do. We are facing a huge problem in this country. Sit in your office and manage those things. Sit in your office and manage these things for us to get jobs to do in this economy," he said.

He also asked the President to fix the electricity problem facing Ghanaians, stressing that he said "electricity bills will reduce"; so he should "sit in your office and ensure the electricity bills comes down."
