Story Of Ebenezer World OutReach Church

The birth of Ebenezar World Outreach Church was a vision that came through a prophecy when the Spirit of the Living God visited our Pastor and Prophetess Audrey Maison one early morning over a year ago. The prophecy stipulated that the Almighty God has chosen her as His servant to work for the Great Commission and that she would be sent to various parts on this Planet to spread the word of God as directed.

Subsequent prophecies directed that a new Church must be founded in the vicinity of Edison, New Brunswick and it's surrounds for the middle class community of all nationality and cultural backgrounds. Specifically the Church must expound the vision of bringing these people to Our Lord Jesus Christ through Love and Giving.

Preparations towards achieving this vision were started and two corporations were founded by Elder Stanford Maison with consultations with Pastor Audrey Maison, Deacon and Deaconess George and Kim Enchill. This group became the nucleus of the organization mainly because we had been family friends for a long time and the vision had been shared with them and they believed it.

These two organizations became Ebenezar World Outreach, Inc. specifically a non-for profit organization geared towards social and economic activities that will impact the future membership of the church, the community in particular and the World at large with emphasis on Africa and Ghana which is our home country.

Series of meetings were held to this end and business plans are currently on the drawing board and all avenues for effective participation of the State and Federal programs are being pursued feverishly. Also formed was; Ebenezar World Outreach Church with the view that in the near future through God's direction the church would be started taking into consideration it takes a lot of resources to start a church. (Little did we know that it will supersede what our intentions were?)

It must be recalled that Pastor Audrey and her husband Elder Stan Maison had started a Music Ministry two years earlier with a Church in Newark and also perform in other churches in support of God's work as the Spirit may direct. This Ministry offered them the opportunity to compose and record their first African Praise and Worship CD album that was launched on August 8th. It was their intention to undertake a tour of Ghana, their home country and Europe where there is a formidable African and Ghanaian community.

Praying unceasingly towards this goal, God directed again through prophecy that the imminent tour must be shelved and that His Ministry must be started immediately on August 15th, the date that Pastor Audrey Maison had booked to travel to Ghana a week after her launching of the CD. It sounds absurd that one will want to launch an album and also be ordained as a Pastor all within a space of one week but that is God's will and it must be obeyed.

People of God this is what has brought us to today's occasion. Thanks and Glory is forever His. The vision of the church we want to create is:

A place where the hurting, the depressed, the frustrated, and the confused can find love, acceptance, help, forgiveness, guidance, and encouragement. A place of sharing the good News of Jesus Christ with the hundreds and thousands of residents in the New Jersey area. A place of welcoming new members into the fellowship of our church family--loving, laughing, and living in harmony together. A place of developing people to spiritual maturity through Bible studies, small groups, seminars, retreats and a Bible school for our members. A place of equipping every believer for a significant ministry by helping them discover the gifts and talents God gave them. A place to share the dream of sending out hundreds of career missionaries and church workers all around the world, and empowering every member for a personal life mission in the world A place to share the dream of sending our members by the thousands on short-term mission projects to every continent. It is a place to share the dream of starting at least one new daughter church every two years

We stand today in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and state in confident assurance that these dreams will become a reality.

As beginners we endeavor to grow warmer through fellowship As beginners we endeavor to grow deeper through discipleship As beginners we endeavor to grow stronger through worship As beginners we endeavor to grow broader through ministry As beginners we endeavor to grow larger through evangelism

Finally our Purpose Statement is to bring people to Jesus and membership in his Family, develop them to Christ-like maturity, and equip them for their ministry in the church and life mission in the world, in order to magnify God's name. We also endeavor to work towards the vision of giving to the poor in all parts of the world. God bless you all.

Stanford Maison
