Student Pastors on Evangelism visit

Akwatia, Jan. 6, GNA - Twenty five student pastors of the Valley View University, on Thursday completed evangelism in five towns in the Kade District of the East Ghana Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church.

The students, members of the Ministry Oriented Students Club of the University, undertook the task of rejuvenating and reviving members of the church to deepen their faith in God, their Creator. They said their main mission was to follow the biblical command that the word of God should reach all corners of the earth.

At the end of the evangelism, the students met and worshipped with ove= r 800 members of the church at Akwatia.

In a sermon, the Kade District Pastor, Pastor Nana Afari Dadzie, said God wanted every human being, especially those who worshiped Him to have transformed lives worthy of being called born-again Christians. The New Year should bring more hope and glorification of God and that Christians should lead righteous lives, adding that 93righteousness exalts= a nation and people and sin is a reproach for them". Pastor Afari later baptized 33 converts into the Akwatia branch of the Church after which he reminded the new converts that on becoming Christians they should not expect that life would be rosy. They would face a host of challenges and temptations from the devil bu= t if they stood firm in their faith they would overcome, he said. Pastor Afari asked them to live exemplary lives to show others that they had reformed and embraced the Christian faith.

Mr David Kwadwo Bediako, District Communication Director of the Church= , thanked the student pastors for their missionary work and asked for God's blessings for them as they went back to school. Mr Bediako urged them as youngsters to wholly dedicate themselves to the service of God and the Church.
