Acting General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu, has slammed the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), for making ugly noises over the mentioning of President Akufo-Addo’s name by Kwesi Nyantakyi in the Anas expose.

The Coalition of Inter Party Coalition comprising the NDC, APC, UFP and PNC have called for an independent body to probe President Akufo-Addo, his Vice and all other ministers mentioned in the Anas tape. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the General Secretary of the NDC says there two major issues from the Nyantakyi’s confession but only is being pursued with regards to the Ghana Football Association.

He wants the president and his vice as well as the ministers mentioned to be dragged before a commission of enquiry so they will be examined and cross examined.

But reacting to the issues raised, John Boadu slammed Mr Nketiah and wondered why the NDC and the other parties have failed to go to court if they believe the president is corrupt.

He wondered why the NPP has been excluded from the Coalition suggesting that, the intention and objectives of the coalition is geared towards national agenda but only an attempt to denigrate the ruling party.

‘’What can we do to satisfy the NDC? What was the outcome from the Commission of Enquiry that investigated the Brazil brouhaha?

That commission wasted our public resources. Is that the kind of commission they want us to set up? What did Nyantakyi say to warrant this commission?

In his view, the call is a needless and unwarranted one. ‘’If the coalition feels Nana Addo is their target, they should take him to court,’’ he stated.
