Kumasi Asante Kotoko assistant coach, Godwin Ablordey, has warned his side against complacency ahead of their crunch premier league game with Accra Hearts of Oak on Sunday.
Kotoko has won five and drawn two of their opening seven games and are tied on 17 points with leaders, Aduana Stars.
Kotoko’s Sunday opponent, Hearts of Oak, lost their last game in the premier league ahead of their clash as they were beaten by 2-1 at the Tema Sports Stadium.
And this, in addition to their non-defeat in three away games has forced ablordey to warn his team against complacency ahead of the game on Sunday, March 19 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
“For me, we won our last game and Hearts of Oak lost but, per the experience I have, I’ll tell the players that they shouldn’t be swollen headed.
“Hearts of Oak will come into the game aggresively to get the maximum three points at their home grounds. I’ll tell the players to relax and play their normal game.
“We shouldn’t be swollen headed that they lost so we are going to walk over them but rather, we need to remain positive,” he said.
