Support Mills to deliver on promises - Ho MCE

Ho, June 4, GNA - Mr Isaac Kodobisah, Ho Municipal Chief Executive, ha= s called on Ghanaians to support the Government to deliver on its 93Better Ghana Agenda". He said given the achievements of the Government so far, its better agenda was firmly on course. The MCE was speaking at a ceremony to present 95 school uniforms to pupils of Airfield Municipal Assembly School Complex at Tsiyinu-Agbokope in the Municipality on Friday.

Mr Kodobisah said though the Government has achieved landmark successes in all sectors, those in the educational sector were phenomenal. He said that in the Municipality alone, more than 3,100 school uniforms were distributed to pupils of about 30 schools, 24 schools were built and seven schools were enjoying the School Feeding Programme. Mr Kodobisah said additionally, exercise books and textbooks were distributed, Capitation Grant was increased and more schools were brought under the School Feeding programme.

He said: 93What the Government of President Mills needs is peace and total support from the citizenry to enable the Government to deliver on its manifesto to make Ghana a better place to live in". He advised students to concentrate on their studies to enable them to pass their examinations. Mr Yao Seidu, Ho Deputy Municipal Director of Education in-charge of Supervision, called on parents to collaborate with Government to give children good education, to enable them to grow into responsible citizens. Mr George Agbezuge, Headmaster of the school, thanked Captain George Infojoh (rtd), Ho-Central Member of Parliament, for donating 100 desks to the school. In a related development, at Bakpe L/A Primary School, school uniforms were distributed to the pupils.

The Acting Headmistress, Ms Benedicta Korwutor of the school, appealed to Government to extend electricity to the school and provide desks to facilitate teaching and learning.
