Support government in education - Darteh

Teacher-Mante (E/R), April 1, GNA - Mr. Emmanuel Darteh, Ayesuano Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has appealed to philanthropists and non-governmental organisations to assist government in the provision of educational infrastructures for better teaching and learning in the area.

He said education is the key to development and therefore government is trying hard to provide the needed school structures throughout the country, especially in the rural areas.

Mr. Darteh made the appeal when he conducted the Ghana News Agency (GNA) to inspect a three-classroom block, an office, a store and a common room being constructed at Teacher-Mante by a philanthropist from Accra as his personal contribution to support government in its effort to enhance education in the area.

He commended the people of Teacher-Mante for their communal spirit towards the project and urged other communities to emulate them. Mr. Darteh visited Yankorkor and Kwadjo Fosu also in the constituency and advised the people to use communal labour to support developmental projects in their communities.
