Support government solve country's problems - Ghanaians urged

Awutu-Beraku, Sept. 9, GNA - Mr David Nana Larbie, a legal adviser based in London, has called on Ghanaians to give the Government time to implement strategies to address problems facing the nation. They should also contribute towards socio-economic programmes initiated by the government, irrespective of their ethnic, political and religious affiliation.

Nana Larbie was speaking to the GNA on the political problems confronting the country after addressing the Awutu Traditional council at Awutu-Beraku, on Wednesday.

He noted that most Ghanaians lacked the courage to face hardships, adding that, life was not as easy as people saw it and stated that even governments in developed countries had socio-economic problems to grapple with.

Nana Larbie advised Ghanaians to exercise restraint in their demand for socio-economic transformation and to work hard to help the government's efforts to improve living conditions in the country.

He urged the people to do away with partisan sentiments and to cooperate with the government to solve the country's problems to make the nation one of the most peaceful and progressive nation in the World. Nana Larbie appealed to the members of the Awutu Traditional Council to mobilise the people for self-help projects to compliment the efforts of the government and the Awutu-Effutu-Senya District Assembly. Later, Abokuadi Whettey Agyemsang Otabil III, President of the Council accompanied by the other members inspected a plot of land acquired by Nana Larbie for the construction of a Post Office at Awutu-Beraku.

Libation was poured and a ram slaughtered to mark the commencement of the project.

Abokuadi Agyemang Otabil commended Nana Larbie for his initiative and prayed for the successful implementation of the project, which forms part of projects to give the town a face-lift.
