Supreme Court orders the arrest of 4 suspected armed robbers

Arrest warrants have been issued by the Supreme Court to the police for the arrest of four suspected armed robbers.

The suspects, who are on the run, were identified as 32-year-old Richard, 30-year-old Ofei, Mustapha and Oboye.

Information available shows that Richard is a native of Aburi, Ofei is from Mampong Akuapem, Oboye hails from Dawenya and Mustapha comes from Ashaiman. Ofei is said to be 5ft 4inches tall and fair in complexion.

They are believed to be hiding in Ashaiman, Tema or Accra in the Greater Accra region, or Aflao in the Volta Region. Per the facts of the case, the accused persons boarded a taxi driven by Emmanuel Kisseh Agovor at 2:00am on July 7, 2017.

They traveled from Ashaiman to Ashongman Estate, in Accra.

Armed with AK 47 rifles, they broke into the complainant’s house. They allegedly took a Dell laptop, two Samsung edge mobile phones (5 and 7), DVR for CCTV and a Mossberg pump action gun, all valued at GH¢ 20,000.

The police, following a tip-off, rushed to the scene, but the suspects had fled. Photographs collated in the course of investigations established the identities of the suspects. Upon arrest, the suspects would be arraigned before a court.

The police are therefore appealing to members of the public to assist with information that would lead to the arrest of the suspects.
