The Supreme Court will today decide whether embattled High court Judge Paul Dery can face disciplinary actions after he was indicted for allegedly taking bribe to adjudicate cases.
A five-member panel will deliver judgment on Justice Dery’s suit challenging the authority of the Chief Justice’s committee that probed the recent judicial corruption scandal.
But even before the case is determined by the highest court of the land, Starr News court correspondent Wilberforce Asare reports that Justice Dery is set to file another writ contesting the legitimacy of Tiger Eye PI as a duly registered company in Ghana.
The embattled High court judge and several other judges were captured in a video taking monies to decide on cases before them by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his Tiger Eye firm.
So far, twenty of the Magistrate and Circuit Court judges implicated in the scandal have been sacked from office.
