TESCON president cautions NDC

Former TESCON President of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Nana Boakye says the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) wants to divert attention from the current Supreme Court case.

He alleged that the ruling political party had influenced key personalities from the other political parties to hold press conferences to slam New Patriotic Party (NPP) officials without justification.

Nana Boakye claimed the ruling NDC was using Dr. Charles Wereko Brobbey, Kofi Akpaloo and Akua Donkor to prosecute its diabolic agenda.

Nana Akufo-Addo, the NPP flagbearer for the 2012 elections, and two other top members of the party are contesting the result of the presidential elections at the Supreme Court.

Nana Boakye said the NDC started the agenda to divert attention from the Supreme Court immediately Dr. Afari Gyan, the Electoral Commission (EC) Chairman was led evidence in chief at court.

The ex-KNUST TESCON President said the EC chairman’s performance did not go down well with members of the NDC, who have adopted plans to divert attention from the case.

Nana Boakye, affectionately called ‘Nana Bee,’ in an interview, said that Ghanaians were aware of the NDC’s tactics.

He said people would continue watch the court proceedings despite the action of the NDC.

Nana Boakye, who is part of the NPP Communication Team, urged the NDC not to waste their time, energy and resources on trying to divert the attention of people from the matter, stressing that their activities would come to naught.

He reprimanded Dr. Wereko Brobbey for stooping so low by succumbing to the machinations of the NDC.

He said the NPP stood firmly behind Dr. Brobbey during the investigation into the activities of the Ghana @50 Secretariat.

Nana Bee called on the leadership of the NPP to deal drastically with Dr. Wereko Brobbey.
