TUC must rise and put Mahama’s gov’t right - MP

Member of Parliament for Tema East, Nii Kwartei Titus Glover, has called on Ghanaians and the Trade Union Congress to rise and defend the economy.

According to him, the TUC has become very 'docile' in its dealings with the incumbent government in the face of the economic pressures the Mahama administration is imposing on the economy.

He cited the depreciation of the cedi and the gradual break down of some State-owned companies amidst other challenges, saying government has failed the nation.

Addressing the failures of the Mahama-led government in its second year, Hon. Titus Glover stated on Oman FM's "National Agenda" programme that the TUC should 'shake' itself and put the government on its toes.

Expressing disgust at the extreme corruptible practices that according to him, is being perpetuated by government officials to the detriment of the citizenry, he stressed firmly that "the corruption must stop. The payment of fraudulent monies into people’s pockets must stop."

He further called on President John Dramani Mahama to dismiss the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Henry Kofi Wampah, because to him, the Governor has failed to execute his official duties efficiently.
