August 20, 2015 will forever remain in the mind of not only TV3 Presidential Correspondent Edward Kwabi but also a group of journalists who accompanied the president on the annual convention of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Ho in the Volta Region.

On their return, their bus veered off the Shai Hills highway into a swamp.

Eddy, who had left a pregnant wife at home, recalls how the accident happened as he gets up close with online journalist Nana Afrane Asante.

He describes the experience as a dream. He makes an interesting revelation of how a bottle of water saved the life of his fellow journalist William Gyentu of Peace FM who had been considered dead after the accident.

Edward Kwabi and his family “I saw the car somersault for the first time and I slept again,” Eddie Kwabi recalls, “because for me I thought it was a dream.

“Few minutes later, I woke up in the muddy water somewhere close to the bush and I still thought I was at home and that it was a dream.

“I saw Samuel Nuamah lie on the street not far from where I was, and it was a sad scene. I have covered accident scenes as a journalist but I never thought I was going to be a victim myself”.
