The Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon Ebenezer Sekyi Hughes, yesterday swore into office, the newly elected member for Odododiodioo, Hon Jonathan Tackie Commey, amidst shout of ?Eye zu Eye za? from the minority side.

Rt Hon Sekyi Hughes formally welcomed him to the House and exhorted him to contribute his quota towards the growth of democracy in the House.

The majority leader and minister for parliamentary affairs, Hon Felix Owusu Adjapong, congratulated the new member on gaining the confidence of his people, and also on helping the NDC to maintain the seat made vacant following the death of Hon Mankattah, who occupied it for a few weeks.

The deputy minority leader, Hon Doe Adjaho, reminded Hon Commey that he is not a member of parliament (MP) for only his party members but an MP for all the people in his constituency.
