The youth of Tafo Nhyiaeso are vehemently demanding the quick arrest of the police personnel that allegedly beat to death, Kofi Opoku at Tafo in Kumasi.

According to the youth, their impatience has reached a crescendo and may explode if the police personnel involved in that criminal activities are not immediately handcuffed to face the law.

Speaking at a heavily charged atmosphere during a press conference on Thursday, Owusu Achew, the Spokesperson of the Youth spat red on the police for dragging its feet to arrest the involved police personnel.

Kofi Opoku was allegedly beaten to death by some policemen from the Tafo Nhyiaeso Divisional Police Command on 7 July 2019.

The deceased who was driving his private car was said to have been stopped by a police patrol team but refused.

According to family, he was later chased from Moro Market and arrested at Tafo 3 miles where he was allegedly beaten until he went unconscious.

He died on arrival at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).
