Head coach of Asante Kotoko, Steve Polack has cautioned his players to take up their chances during premier league matches if they want to stay on top.

The Porcupine Warriors dropped points at home grounds after drawing 1-1 with Olympics on Sunday in the match day 17 fixture of the Ghana Premier League.

New signing Saddick Adams rescued a point for the Reds by equalizing through the spot after David Agordome had given Olympics the lead.

The match was a setback for Kotoko who would have hoped for a continuation of their first win in eight matches in Tema last week.

However, the former Berekum Chelsea trainer who was eyeing his third straight win in charge of the club has urged his players to take up their chances if they want to stay on top of the premier league.

“Not the kind of results we expected, not a good results especially playing at home,” he told the media.

“We came into this game purposely for a win, I think we must put in extra effort in order to get to the top.”

“The League is getting tougher and tougher so it is important to take your chances when you get them.”

The Warriors after falling to secure all three points against the Wonder club are currently at the 5th position with 25 points and will play Aduana Stars in the match day 18 fixture of the GPL.
