Takoradi NDC expresses support for national executives

Takoradi, Jan 24, GNA - The Takoradi Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Tuesday said it would not allow itself to be divided by detractors of the party.

The resolve of the constituency was contained in a statement signed by the constituency executives including Mr Robert Kofi Dadzie, the Chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Kuwornu, the First Vice Chairman and Mr George Bakare, the Second Vice Chairman.

The constituency said the plot to divide the front of the NDC would fail in the constituency because "Its commitment to truth and noble principles are too high".

It said detractors of the party are waging a psychological warfare against the NDC but the party would prevail.

The constituency expressed its unflinching support for the national executives of the party saying that "We believe the December 2005 congress elected solid and dedicated executives to assist the party to win the 2008 general elections".

It urged the national executives to convince those who have resigned from the NDC to return to the party.

The constituency spoke of the achievements of former President Jerry John Rawlings in the NDC and in national affairs and said, "We in the constituency know Flt Lt. Jerry Rawlings as a statesman of integrity and the spirit behind the party".
