Tamale South NPP parliamentary candidate cuts sod for 3-unit classroom block construction at Vittin

The parliamentary candidate of the ruling new patriotic party (NPP) for Tamale South, Yakubu Yusif has cut sod for the construction of a 3-unit classroom block at Ansuriya primary and Junior High school in Vittin, a suburb of Tamale.

The event saw the attendance of the NPP parliamentary candidate for Tamale South, Hon. Yakubu Yusif, the mayor of Tamale, Hon. Iddrisu Musah Superior, Northern Development Authority (NDA) deputy director of cooperating affairs, Alhaji Mustapha Mubashar and elders of the Vittin community.

Briefing the media yesterday, Hon. Yakubu Yusif indicated that the project was in fulfilment of President Akufo-Addo's “one million dollars per constituency" promised to Ghanaians.

He further explained that, as a parliamentary candidate for the area, he felt it was necessary to join hands with the mayor of Tamale and the NDA to lobby for some of the projects of the government for the good people of Tamale south.

“and indeed, through the consultation of the community members, they enumerated that, water, road, electricity and public toilet were problems of the community and after further consultation, we realized that, the issue of the public toilet were no longer a problem as it was earlier provided to the community by the mayor of Tamale, Hon. Iddrisu Musah Superior." Hon. Yakubu Yusif explained.

Hon. Yusif Yakubu further explained that he believed that, the only way to solve the above-listed problems is through education, and that is why he has decided to construct the 3-unit classroom for the community to help provide quality education for the children in the community.

He also urges the people of Tamale south to endorse him as their Member of Parliament and Nana Akufo Addo as their President, come December 7, so they can continue the good work that they are doing.

Mba Kpanalana who spoke on behalf of the chief has also applauded Hon. Yakubu Yusif for coming to the aid of the community but plead with him to urge the contractor to expedite work to get it completed for use.

Meanwhile, the mayor of Tamale, Iddrisu Musah Superior, lauded Hon. Yakubu Yusif for taken it upon himself to lobby development for the constituency and has also appealed to the people of Tamale South to vote for Hon. Yakubu Yusif as their Member of parliament come December 7th.
