Target floating voters - Amissah-Arthur charges campaign team

Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has called on National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters to intensify their campaign to ensure total victory for President John Dramani Mahama in the December 7 elections.

He also charged them to go out in their numbers and spread the good news about the President to the people.

Vice President Amissah-Arthur was addressing hundreds of NDC supporter at the campaign launch of the NDC’s Parliamentary Candidate for the Abirem Constituency, Mrs Mavis Ama Frempong at Afosu in the Birem North District of the Eastern region.

The supporters of the Party also defied a downpour to attend the campaign launch.

Vice President Amissah-Arthur urged the supporters to guard against complacency and work assiduously till victory is attained.

He said the President Mahama led administration has provided a lot of infrastructural development for the Region in terms of water, roads and education.

He urged the NDC supporters to target floating voters and explain to them the Party’s developmental and transformational agenda.

Vice President Amissah-Arthur also called on the electorate to vote for Mrs Frempong to become the Member of Parliament for Abirem to complement the efforts of President Mahama to ensure more development to the area.

He said Mrs Frempong did a lot for people in area as former District Chief Executive and now as the Regional Minister.

Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, Vice Chairman of the NDC stated that the Party is the only political entity, which has the people of the Region at heart.

He said the government has not discriminated in the provision of infrastructural development to Region in terms of roads, water and education.

He urged people this time round to vote massively for President Mahama and all the NDC parliamentary candidates to continue with the government’s transformational agenda.

Mrs Frempong called on the foot soldiers to intensity the house to house campaign to ensure massive win for the party in the area.

She said government over the last six years has extended electricity to numerous communities as well as the cocoa syndicated loans to farmers in the area.

She said currently the District has been provided with a fire station and tender to deal with fire outbreaks.

Other NDC stalwarts at the function included Dr Edward Omane Boamah, Minister of Communication, Mr Yaw Boateng Gyan, former National Organiser of the NDC.
