Tarkwa Hospital records 4 deliveries on Christmas

One girl and boys were delivered at the Tarkwa Municipal Hospital on Christmas day.

Ms Amina Dawuda, a Senior Midwife at the hospital, told Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview at Tarkwa on Thursday.

She said all the babies and their mothers are doing well.

Ms Dawuda advised pregnant women to register with the National Health Insurance Scheme to enable them benefit from the packages under the scheme.

Madam Agnes Essel, a Principal midwife in-charge of the maternity ward at Ami Memorial Hospital told the GNA that three girls were born on December 25.

She urged pregnant women to attend anti-natal clinic regularly to enable them receive the necessary medical care to ensure safe delivery.

Ms Salomey Baah Tsibu, a staff midwife at the Prestea Government Hospital told the GNA that two deliveries were recorded at the hospital.

She said all the babies and their mothers have been discharged while four pregnant are in labour at the hospital.
