The leadership of National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) Bekwai Zone in the Ashanti Region has advised their colleague teachers especially their members not to forget that they are professional vessels in the development of Ghana education system.

Speaking with GhanaWeb after their zonal election held at Bekwai SDA Senior High School's large assembly hall, made it clear that teaching is a tedious work so teachers must be honoured for choosing this profession.

Although teachers are been tempted by community members and students but as professionals as they are, should develop mechanisms against such temptations for them not to fall into their plans.

Some few teachers who are into 'alcoholism' must also stop, they should have good plans for their lives and think about future.

The Secretary of the Association, Mr. David Tabi added that, Pastors, Muslims must always remember teachers in their daily prayers.

The current brouhaha in the country is pointing towards teachers which is very bad, and humiliation to teaching profession.

The Financial Secretary, Mr. Emmanuel Ahenkorah made it clear that, government must also take good care of teachers, their salaries, promotional arrears, housing among others.

"Teachers won't suffer here and promised to take rewards in heaven, nevertheless", he emphasized.

"Teachers must champion their classroom work seriously and God will continue to bless them", he advised.
