Tell Akufo-Addo to fix your roads – Mahama to Pentecost leaders

Former President of the Republic, John Dramani Mahama, has made a passionate appeal to leaders of the Church of Pentecost (COP) to place their request for the construction of the road network from Millennium City Junction to the Pentecost Convention Center, near Gomoa Fetteh, at the door steps of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

According to the former Ghanaian leader, since he is no more the President of the land, there is little that he could do to assist the COP to have a better road network that will link the Pentecost Convention Center to the nearby communities.

President Akufo-Addo, he noted, now has the power to make things happen and would therefore be glad if their (COP) request for a better road network is placed at his doorsteps.

“Apostle Onyina the other time told me that he intentionally invited me here to see the roadnetwork. At that time (when he was the President of the Republic), I directed the Urban Roads to see if they could do something about it. Today, when I used that road, I saw some improvements except that short distance leading to this place. I would have loved that you ask my successor (President Akufo-Addo) the same question”, he noted.

Mr. Mahama made this observation when he addressed the Retirement Service held in honour of the former Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Nimfour Opoku Onyina, at the Pentecost Convention Center, Kasoa on Sunday, August 26, 2018.

The Church of Pentecost Convention Center is Ghana’s new purpose-built, world class conference and event center located at Millennium City near Gomoa Fetteh in the Central Region.

The center boasts of a 3,000 seater auditorium, a free car park that take more than 1,000 vehicles, a comfortable lodging facility, a restaurant among others.
